Hey Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leaders – Back by popular demand, and better than ever! Mark your calendars now; the official start of the “Earn Your Way to Camp Sale” is March 12. Materials for your Pack and Troop’s sale will be in your hands on that date.
What’s new this year? A new scout incentive, and we think your boys are going to love the patches we designed.
First, our order system is by container. You will not have to round your order up to order full cases. We will give you exactly what you order.
Second, you will have your choice to sell Trail’s End popcorn, or Country at Home Soy Candles, or both! This spring, the order forms will have 7 popcorn products, and 6 candles. Give your customers a choice!
The popcorn products are the cheese lovers tin, the microwave kettle corn, the 26 oz. Caramel corn, the 11 oz. Caramel corn, the 15 pack of micro butter and 15 pack of micro light, and the 2.5 lb. popcorn tin.
HOT OFF THE PRESSES - NEW PRODUCT- 20 oz. Trails End Trail Mix this Spring. It has cashews, m & m's, raisins, almonds, cranberries, and peanuts!
The Country at Home Soy Candles, which are 8 oz. soy wax and made here in our Council, will feature custom labeling made special for us, and will feature 6 scents: the four most popular from last year and two new ones to be determined soon. NOTE: We found out quite late that there was a boo boo made by our candle supplier last spring. A new supplier of a scent to her was not good(strong enough) and consequently there was a small batch of weaker candles. She promises us that will not happen this year, and as a matter of fact, all the scents will be as pungent as possible. She loves the scouts and wants us all to be satisfied and happy!
They will sell for ten dollars, and your commission will be three dollars per candle. You will receive all the materials you need for the sale at the March Roundtable. The day to order your products is Tuesday, April 22, and pick up, at Olean and Jamestown, will be on Friday, May 2 from 6 to 8 PM. Your profit is 35% for popcorn and 30% for candles. The best way to sell candles is to have customers SMELL them. So we are offering you the opportunity again to get a six-pack of candles for each of your scouts in advance. We will reconcile those given out ahead of time with your final order. You cannot return early candles. Keep in mind you will have your candle order a few weeks before Mother’s Day, and they are a great gift for mom. Everybody has one, and they love candles!!!
The scout incentive will be a special, highly collectible council shoulder patch of a jeep and a dinosaur following this year's camp theme. Every scout who sells $100 will receive a patch; $300 in sales will get a patch with a metallic border as well as the $100 patch; and $500 in sales will get an extra special version of the patch with headlights and taillights on the jeep, as well as the other two patches! If 50% of your registered scouts sell at least $100 each, the popcorn/candle sale chairman of your unit will get a complete set FREE! A Jurassically Cool deal!
